Biography
First marriage to Elizabeth occurred prior to November 1788, as she is listed as his wife and one of the sellers of land in Delaware to William Cannon (see below for reference).
Second marriage to Mary Casson evidenced by a marriage bond stating that Joseph Hurd is from Caroline County, Maryland, and Mary Casson is from Kent County, Delaware. The bond was co-signed by John Baynard (whose wife was Margaret Casson) and White Turpin and witnessed by Robert C. Baynard and Solomon Turpin.
