This profile represents the wife of Thomas Greenwood, and mother of a son by the same name.
Research Notes
Name changed from Mercy Hurd to Unknown Unknown.
A previous version of this profile included narrative related to a Mercy _______, wife of 1) Thomas Brigham, 2) Edmund Rice, and 3) William Hunt. But that was a separate person entirely.[1][2]

It appears that Mercy should be removed from the PGM project. Mercy did not arrive in New England AT LEAST until after 1643 when alleged son Thomas was born in England. She may not have ever come to New England at all. Nothing is known of her at this point in time.
There is no evidence that the mother of Thomas Greenwood ever came to America. I agree she should no longer be PGM. Her name should probably be changed to Unknown Unknown as there is also no support for the name Mercy or Hurd.
Mercy's profile was added to PGM in 2014, based on a profile with which this was confused: Mercy (Unknown) Hunt (abt.1618-1693).
Are there any objections to removing this profile from the PGM project?
