Biography

In 1850, he was listed as 55, a laborer, and head of household with Susan (age 50), Mary Ann, (age 22), and Agnes (age 13).^[1]

In 1855, he was listed as 61, born in Dutchess County, resident 1 year of Colchester, Delaware, NY, head of house hold with Susanah (age 60), Jeremiah (age 23), and Agnes (age 18). He could not read or write.^[2]

In 1860, he was listed as 67 and head of household with Susanna (age 65), Agnes (age 23), and Elias Stewart (age 3).^[3]

According to Robert Husted's research:

9/28/1850 - Land Bounty Warrant for military service in the War of 1812, including notarized affidavits, filed in Delaware County.

9/23/1834 - Sold 110 acres

12/23/1862 - Sold 60 acres^[4]
