Samuel Hutchins, "being very weak & ill," made his will on 26 October 1711; it was proved on 2 February 1712/3. His main beneficiaries were his "beloved sister" Johannah Hutchins and her children Samuel, Joseph, and John, whom he refers to as his cousins. He also left bequests to his brothers William and Benjamin, his sister Sherborn, his cousin Stephen Dow, Jr., and his cousin Thomas Ayer.

From his will, it is apparent that Samuel left no wife or children. Johanna is Johanna Corliss, who married Samuel's brother Joseph. Stephen Dow, Jr. is the husband of Johanna's daughter Mary Hutchins, his sister Sherborn is his sister Love (Hutchins) Sherborn, and Thomas Ayer is probably the son of Samuel's sister Elizabeth.

Ensign Samuel Hutchins's death record is found in Vital Records of Haverhill, Massachusetts: To the End of the Year 1849, vol. 2 (Topsfield: Topsfield Historical Society, 1911), 425.

Hutchins-351 and Hutchins-252 appear to represent the same person because: Now that the incorrect father has been removed from this profile, time to merge these. Still sorting out the rest! I'm thinking death date of this one might be uncertain--?
