William was born about 1597 in Towcester, Northamptonshire, England. He is the son of Thomas Hutchins and Ann Anderson. He sailed on the ship Diana in 1618 to Virginia Colony at the age of 21. In 1623 William was listed among the list of living in The Maine found in "Ship Passenger List: The South 1538-1825" Compiled by Carl Boyer 3rd. In 1624 William is listed as Virginia Pioneer, Elizabeth City, Virginia. It doesn't appear as if William ever married. He passed away about 1660 in the Colony of Virginia.
