I have been researching my tree on ancestry for many years with many sources. With lines reaching the inevitable brick wall it is time to refine and share to see what new eyes bring. My main Hutchinson line in the 1700-1800's is firmly based in Sussex, England in a seafaring area. I am convinced there is a link to the New England Hutchinson's and know travel was frequent but cannot find the missing link. I hope others can help or find links to my ancestors.

Hi Graham,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. The help pages give lots of information about the process, but I recommend starting with 'Before you import a GEDCOM' (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Before_importing_a_GEDCOM) Another very helpful link, a step-by-step process, which includes screen-shots is (http://www.geneamusings.com/2013/12/adding-early-seaver-generations-to.html)

Best of luck! Don
