Willoughby Hutton, age 24, George's brother, a "clark" [clerk] was likely an employee in George's store. He may have lived next door in his own house, or he may have lived with George and Temperance. He said his religion was Episcopal.[4]
In this Census, sons are usually identified with the occupation of the father, not referred to as "sons," daughters were called "spinsters."[5]
1861 Canada Census
In 1861, George Hutton, age 41, was head of a household in St Marys, Perth County, Ontario, that included his wife, Temperance, and 5 of their children. 2 younger daughters apparently were living with their grandparents, George and Ann Hutton. The family attended the Congregationalist church. [6]

George was deceased or absent before the 1871 Ontario Census.
