1910 U.S. Census
The 1910 US Census of Bay City (Precinct 5), collected May 10, 1910 lists the family members as:
- George F. Hutton, age 31
- Cora Hutton, age 27, was the mother of 5 children, all born in Michigan.
The children are:
- Margaret, age 9
- Marvel, age 8
- Morine [Maureen], age 7
- Glenn F., age 4
- William S. age 2[1]
1928 Marriage to Helen Bay (or Lahti)
William L. Hutton, whose marital status was single, age 22, born March 31, 1906 in Bay City, Mich, was married to Helen Bay [Lahti] on April 13, 1928 in Elkhart County, Indiana. William's parents were Fred G. Hutton and "…A …EY" [Cora Carney]. Helen's name is given on her marriage license as Helen E. Bay. Wikipedia says "bay" is the literal translation on "Lahti" from Finnish. Helen's death certificate says her name was Helen Elizabeth Lahti. [2]

William L. Hutton married Margaret L. Johnson on December 29, 1928. William was 22 years old, resided in Ferndale, Michigan, and worked as photo engineer. He was born in Michigan to Fred G. [Hutton] and Cora Carney. He had been married once before. Margaret L. Johnson, 20 years old, resided in Highland Park, Michigan. She was born in Michigan to Thomas s. [Johnson] and Fred (sic) Barnes.. Her occupation was “none.” Margaret had not been married before. Witnesses were John Porter of Detroit and Marietta Johnson of Highland Park. They were married by [undecipherable], a Baptist clergyman. [3]
