I was born and brought up in Scotland, and have since travelled extensively all over the world. I have a special interest in the Hynd surname, and have Hynd family trees with Hynd family members in UK, Europe, Canada, USA, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, etc.
Any entries I make on my tree are based on my own extensive research. Generally I will not consider a person's family tree accurate unless I have verified it with several sources, including original BMD certificates, other authoritative online databases, personal family information and photographs, or similar material.
I run the online site Who's Who Of Hynds at http://on.fb.me/ifAUmt, which acts as a focal point and clearing house for Hynd genealogy and Hynd family history research, and as a reference source for information and stories on Hynds.
The Guild Of One-Name Studies (http://one-name.org/) hosts a worldwide project researching the genealogy and family history of all persons with the surname Hynd (http://www.surnamehynd.com). Please contact email address hynd@one-name.org .
