Llywelyn was the son of Hywel Fychan and Alice ferch Llywelyn:^[1]

Llenn ap Hywel Ychan married Mallt, daughter and heiress of Ieuan ab Rees ab Ieuan Ivor.^[1]

They had at least two daughters, Gwladys was the younger of the two.^[2]
