Hi Ellen,

I'd like to invite you to join in our "Weekend Chat", a popular G2G post where many of the members visit and share in a variety of topics.

New people say "Hello" and introduce themselves, Leaders and Mentors give tips and answer questions, and regulars share updates on their latest projects and victories... anything they wish to chat about. I most enjoy stories of famous or nefarious ancestors.

We'd love to hear from you, stop in when you're able!

Hi Ellen, I noticed that you have some Chandlers in your family. I would love to know your sources, please make sure you add them to the profiles as you add the profiles, Thanks so much,

Hi Ellen,

I see you are working on merges. Merges done quickly is a sure sign that a slower, more methodical pace needs to be implemented to improve the accuracy and clean-up of those merges. You may want to review Merging and Matching and Merging FAQ to understand your responsibilities in doing merges.

Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text or make sure there is sourcing to support the merge.

You will also want to review all other family members for potential duplicates and review any conflicts in parents. If you have any questions, just let me know.

Ellen, You postponed the Tempey Massey (Massey-2083) and Tempey Hill (Massey-1574) merge because "Appear to be same person, but birth dates differ and need confirmation". Normally that would be so, but as in the instance both birth dates of 1802 &1805 are "about" the merge could proceed, with an uncertain birth date of 1803 entered in the profile and the Bios noted accordingly. I will therfore remove the postponement and propose a further merge. Ron.

Ellen, If you are completing merges remember that the biography needs to be cleaned up as well

Ellen, Merge of Bradley-1057 & Bradley 1032 postponed due to different spouses! First spouse died, 4/5 years before second marriage. I have therefore removed postponement and proposed a further merge. Ron

Hello Ellen: Thank you for the merge on James Madison Hite (Hite-490). Actually I mistakenly started editing the Hite family profiles, but then I found out that they were confused with the Hiatt family. Hite is the German family and Hiett is the English/Welsh family. I am related to the Hiatt family through my Grandmother Pauline "Nana" Hiatt/Hyatt, a grand lady. Have a good day.

Hi Ellen, you just completed merge on Herndon-3 and Herndon-15. The were differences in birth dates. How did you choose which date to use. Could you document the source please. Thanks Trudy.
