James was born in Bramley Surrey before March 1 1834 which was the date of his christening at Holy Trinity Church, Bramley. James is the son of William Inwood and Elizabeth Attfield.
In 1851 at age 17, James is residing with his parents in Albury and he was working as a gardener.
James never married nor had children.
James died in 1854 at about age 20 and he was buried on July 7 1854 at St. Peter & St. Paul Church, Albury.
