Biography

Margaret Ireland was the daughter of Thomas Ireland of the Hutt in co Lancaster, esq,^[1] and his wife, Margaret, the daughter of Sir Richard Bould.^[2]

In 1546,^[3] Margaret married John Aston of Aston, the son of Thomas Aston of Aston, esq, and his wife, Bridget, the daughter and coheir of John Harewell of Wooton in co Worcester.^[2] John was b. Abt 1513, Aston Grange, Runcorn, Cheshire, England.

Richard Aston, an illegitmate son of John Aston's and therefore not Mary's child^[5] lived at Rock Savage, Cheshire, England, and died in 1616.^[3] b. Abt 1563

Margaret's husband John Aston, esq, died on 5 August 1573,^[3] and was buried on 6 August at Frodsham, Cheshire.^[6]

Margaret married a second time on 7 May 1579 at Bunbury St Boniface, Cheshire,^[7] to Hugh Beeston of Beeston in the county of Chester, Esq, the son of Sir George Bestone of Bestone, Knight, and his wife, Alice Davenport.^[1]

Margaret was Hugh's second wife and they had no children together.^[1]

Margaret Beeston was buried at Tarporley in Cheshire on 21 January 1594.^[8]

The second wife of Margaret's father-in-law, Sir George Beeston, was a daughter of George Ireland of the Hutt in Lancashire with whom he had no children.^[9]
