Biography

Zella Ireland (and her twin brother Zetland D. Ireland (1887-1944)) were children of Walter Herman Ireland (1856-1934) and Estella S. (Lowe) Ireland (1858-1946). They were born on April 22, 1887 in Brighton Township, Northumberland County, Ontario.[1] In 1908, Zella became charter secretary-treasurer of the Women's Institute, Wooler Branch.[2] She was the wife of Clarence Maybee (1882-1954). Zella died in Belleville, Ontario in 1973, and is buried there in Belleville Cemetery.[3]
