Margaret Irving was born about 1794. She was baptised in the Roman Catholic Church at Munches to Robert Irvine and Mary Sloan. Sponsers were Jane and Mary Copland.^[1]

In 1871 Margaret was a widow living with her sister and brother-in-law Davidies and John Robson of Copland Street, Urr, Dalbeattie, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland. Davidies died in 1893 her mother’s maiden name was Sloan^[6]
