Julia Ann Isaacs was born on November 21, 1814, in Albemarle County, Virginia.[1] She was the daughter of David Isaacs, a Jewish Merchant from Germany, and Ann "Nancy" West, a free woman of color.[2]
Julia married Eston Hemings in 1832.
Abt 1852, Eston and Julia moved to Wisconsin where they changed their surname to Jefferson. She died in Madison, Wisconsin, on March 22, 1889.[3]
