There is mention of a second Marriage to Mary Neace . I could not find evidence of that .

She was born 1713 in Amherst Co., Virginia. He married (2) MARY NEACE March 15, 1781 in South Carolina. She was born Unknown in South Carolina, and died 1837 in South Carolina.

1. John & Rebecca moved to Tyrone Co., NC about 1769, from Amherst Co., Virginia. Many of the descendants of John Isom Jr. resided in Henry Co., Virginia which today covers about 25% of present day Virginia counties, including Amherst, Montgomery, Washington, Grayson, & Scott Counties. There is no proof at this time that John Jr was married to Mary Neace but there is strong speculation that he was.
If John Ison did mary a second time to Mary Neace Swink-this is the South Carolina Isons.

Notes from Norma Ray, This family was not from South Carolina. They resided in Virginia and later moved to Tyrone North Carolina not South. All Children were born in Virginia and John died 1771 before the others were born. There is no record of a marriage to Mary Neace Swink .
