He passed away about 1862.
Member of CSA and buried in a private cemetery amongst a few family members. He owned a lumber mill in Cuthbert. His partner bought the mill after his death. His wife had more children with the 2nd husband. Due to demands of 2nd husband her son Benjamin Franklin Ivey was said to have gone to Webb, AL on a bicycle and reestablished himself there, subsequently relinquishing his inheritance. Family history was mostly from word of mouth of youngest daughter of Ben Franklin Ivey.
