Horton-7470 and Horton-5288 appear to represent the same person because: they share similar vital statistics, the same parents and the same spouse, John Sledge, Sr.

Who is this Rebecca Sledge [formerly Horton] that is the daughter of George Ivey Jr., but has a different last name? I do not understand how this can be. Is she Ivy or Horton? She is HORTON. Her parents are Daniel and Martha Horton. Rebecca Horton Sledge is listed as the wife of John Sledge and mother of Charles, Daniel, John and Amos.

Ivey-912 and Horton-5288 do not represent the same person because: John sledge married martha horton[ horton genealogy] and had 4 sons. These four sons had sledge and horton family names, None of the names were Ivey names The children are the same; the wife's name is different. She is horton ; not ivy.

I believe there is confusion between this lady and Rebecca "HORTON" Sledge. Much written is true except for the fact that she is "HORTON" rather than "IVEY" John Sledge, son of Charles, had 4 sons, two with Horton names Daniel and Amos, and two with Sledge names, Charles and John. James S Sledge
