Biography

Sarah "Sally" Jackman, daughter of Moses Jackman and Rachel (Heath) Jackman, was born in Plaistow, Rockingham County, New Hampshire on December 16, 1765.^[1]

Sally married Benjamin Knight also from Plaistow, New Hampshire,^[2] about 1787.^[3]

Probably shortly after they were married, Sally and Benjamin, joined Sally's brother Moses and others from the Haverhill/Plaistow area, in moving to Landaff, Grafton County, Massachusetts.

Sally and Benjamin had the following children, all in Landaff:

At the time of the 1800 US Census, Sally and Benjamin Knight were living in Landaff, Grafton County, New Hampshire as head of a household containing 7 people.^[17]

Sally (Jackman) Knight died on March 8, 1853, at the age of 88.^[18] Her gravestone can be found in Landaff Center Cemetery, Landaff, Grafton County, New Hampshire.^[18]
