Biography

He is named Pierre Joseph Pierre on his baptism, born and baptized on 13 Jan 1795 in Lotbinière. He later follows his father's example and calls himself by the last name (originally a dit name) of Jacques, and marries under the name Pierre Jacques. Doesn't use the Joseph at all that I can see. [1].

married on 4 Feb 1823 in Ste-Croix (Lotbinière) (no period after Ste and always hyphenated), he is listed as Pierre Jacques. He died on 20 Oct 1844 in the same place, buried there on 22nd. He is given the age of 49 on the record. ref Quebec, Vital and Church Records [1], 1621-1997.
