James was born in 1821. I've seen his middle name spelled as "Hyrum" and also as "Hiram" - and while "Hiram" seems likely the correct spelling, there is always the chance that "Hyrum" was a family surname therefore I'm using that spelling just in case it can be an aid in someone's research.
James Hyrum passed away in 1884.
