Biography

John Hayden Janney was born on 11 Apr 1841. [1]

He served as a private in the 36th Indiana Infantry during the Civil War and was held at Andersonville Prison for a time and exchanged on 15 Apr 1864. He died in the explosion of the steamer Sultana near Memphis on 27 Apr 1865. [2]
