Daniel was a Planter of St Thomas, St Dennis and St James Parish, now Berkeley (Craven) County, SC. Baird in his book, History of Huguenot Emegration, page 310, writes, "Among the refugees who came to South Carolina were Daniel Jodon and Sara Bertonneau, his mother."
It is suspect that his father's birthdate is only 4 years before Daniel. His mother's date used in other records ranges between 1600 and 1660. Neither ends of that range seem reasonable.
A record on genealogy.com claims:
"Immigration: Aft. 1696, Came to S. Carolina w/mother & step-father & her children after Elie Jaudon died."
