In 1881 and 1891 William is living with his father William (b.1833) and step mother Ann Maria Jay (b.1831) in Sidegate lane, Ipswich, Suffolk. [4]In 1881, also living at home are William's older brothers Charles (b.1857) - a horseman, John (b.1866) - a market gardener, and George (b.1871).[5]
On 31 Mar 1901 at Age 28, William is living in Rushmere, Suffolk, England.[6] His wife Lydia(30) and he have 3 children, Eveline V(6), Hilda M(4) and Amos William Jay(3) are also living with him. He is employed as a gardener and a thatcher.
In 1911 at Age 38, William is living in Hilborough, Norfolk, England. [7]. His wife Lydia(39) and son Amos William Jay(13) are also living with him. He is employed as a thatcher.
It is likely that William passed away between Jan and Mar in 1935, Woodbridge, Suffolk, England. [8]
