Biography
Mary Jefferson was born on October 3, 1804. She was the daughter of Henry Jefferson, a blacksmith, and Jane Walker. Mary, daughter of Henry & Jane, was baptised on 2 December 1804 in Whickham, Durham, England.[1]
In the 1841 census Mary was 35 years old and living with her stepmother and 5 si blings at their home in Chester Le Street, Durham, England.[2]
Research Notes
Some online trees have included a birth record from Oct-Dec 1841 in Gateshead as her DOD, however the record is for a woman aged 79 years. She was 35 in 1841. She wasn't with the family in the 1851 census, but may have married. More research is required to determine DOD.
