The Enquirer, Columbus, GA, 17 Mar 1857: “Crook, Elizabeth R. (58), wife of O. Crook late of Harris Co., first husband was Hardy Crawford. Hon. M. J. Crawford and 2 other children survive. Daughter of Lt. William Jenkins, a Revoluntionary Soldier in the Va. Continental Line; 7 Mar. 1857. Columbus, GA.”^[3]
