Update by Francis E. Berkey (Berkey-120) while working on my wife Mary Ann's Stafford family. Additional information from Find A Grave:
Thomas married Nancy Ann Stafford, April 18, 1818 in WV. They had 11 children: Mary, Matilda, Joshua, Lucretia, James, Nancy Ann, Nehemiah, Joseph, Elizabeth, Bartholomew, and Druzilla.
Thomas and Nancy traveled with 10 of their children by flat-boat on the river from Morgantown, WV - heading west for a more healthy climate. Morgantown, at that time, was very damp. Thomas became very ill with malaria, so they went a shore in IN. He died shortly afterwards and is buried in the Hebron Church Cemetery.
Nancy went on to Johnson Co., IN. She remained there until most of her children married. Later she went to Iowa, where she died (she is buried in Westfield; Grinnell, Iowa - along with several of her children).
Years of personal research on my wife's family with embellishments from Find A Grave (FEB)..
