The age given for Mary is incorrect in at least one of her census entries, as they suggest incompatible date ranges:
07 Jun 1786 - 6 Jun 1791, or 07 Jun 1790 - 06 Jun 1791 (if we assume she had turned 50) [6]
(a) If the age given in 1851 was overstated by one year, then the new range from that census would be 31 Mar 1791 - 30 Mar 1792, giving a combined range of 08 Apr 1791 - 07 Jun 1791.
(b) If the age given in 1861 was understated by one year, then the new range from that census would be 08 Apr 1790 - 07 Apr 1791, giving a combined range of 07 Jun 1790 - 30 Mar 1791
NB. (a) and (b) are mutually exclusive
1851 and 1861 Census entries suggest that Mary was born in Carmarthenshire. [7][8] A search of the FreeREG database (11 May 2014) for possible baptisms of a Mary JENKINS (with soundex) in Carmarthenshire in 1792 (+/- 2 yrs) returned 2 matches:
