Biography

Rachel Douglas (Samuel, James), born in Voluntown, Conn., Dec. 23, 1775; married, Feb. 7, 1799, Samuel Millett, of Sterling. He was born Feb. 3, 1773. They removed, in 1799, soon after their marriage, to Palmyra, N.Y., where they lived with Mr. Millett's parents. Samuel and Rachel removed to Belfast in the fall of 1819, and to Walworth in the spring of 1830. They both died in Ontario, at the house of their son John, he March 16, 1847, and she Nov. 17, 1858. Children:

ii. Mary Millett, b. in Williamson, Feb 11 1802, m. William Jenkins, farmer, settled 1854 Batavia, Ill., who d. April 8, 1872, and he d. Oct 5 1876. Had:
