Notes
Note N20My records start with "Frank J. Harris" as Barnie's father. I found Franklin Harris on the next census page over from Laura Cadle, and I am basing the assumption that Franklin and Frank J. are the same on geographic proximity and age. (So, they had to have met somehow to have been married in 1882 and how many Frank Harrises were there in Richmond County at the time, right?) I will change this upon evidence that Frank J. and Franklin are not the same person.
There are two marriage records for Franklin and Bassheba. One is in Burke County, Georgia and one is in Edgefield, SC, for the same date. The Burke Co. record indicates it was recorded on November 7, about 2 weeks after the date of the actual marriage, which makes me think they were actually married in Edgefield.
