Biography

George Jennings was born about 1830 ^{[1] [2]} in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, England & baptised there on 19th September 1830, ^{[1] [2]} the son of William Jennings & Mary Paveley.

George Jennings, full age, Bachelor, Thatcher, of Little Hallingbury, (son of William Jennings, Thatcher) & Mary Dorrington, full age, Spinster, of Sawbridgeworth, (daughter of Samuel Dorrington, Lock Keeper) were married in the Parish Church of Little Hallingbury, Essex, England on 2nd June 1855 according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England by Stanley Pemberton. George & Mary both signed their names. Witnesses were Thomas Dorrington & Susan Pegerham. ^{[3] [4]}

Following the death of his wife Mary in 1867, ^[5] George Jennings married Jane Day on 5th July 1868 in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, England. ^{[6] [7]}

George Jennings died aged 51 in 1881, ^[8] in Little Hallingbury, Essex, England & was laid to rest there on 2nd November 1881. ^[9]
