William Charles Jennings was born 13th July 1870 ^[1][2] in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, England & baptised there 25th September 1870,^[2] the son of Abraham Jennings & Martha Tyler.

William Charles Jennings, age 27, Bachelor, Gardener, of Thornton Curtis, Lincolnshire, (son of Abraham Jennings, deceased, Thatcher) & Sophia Stovell, age 23, Spinster, of Esher, (daughter of Thomas Stovell, Gardener) were married 5th October 1896 in the Parish Church of Esher, Surrey, England according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns by Evelyn J. Hone, Rector. William & Sophia both signed. Witnesses were Thomas Stovell, Louisa Stovell & Thomas Barker.^[3][4]

Sophia Jennings died aged 47, in 1920 in Westhampnett, Sussex, England.^[5]
