Following the outbreak of the Great War, Leonard Jennings enlisted as a Private and served in the 1st/5th Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment. He was killed in action 12th October 1918 aged 19, whilst serving in France. He is commemorated on the Vis-En-Artois Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.[4]
