Rose Jennings was born on August 27, 1710 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay, daughter of Isaac Jennings (1677–1760) and Rose Goodspeed (1681–1721).

Rose (19) married John Ellis (25) (born on February 4, 1705 in Sandwich, Massachusetts Bay Colony; son of John Ellis and Sarah (Holmes) Ellis) on February 4, 1730 in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Their children were:

Inscription on Tombstone "Mrs. Rose, wife of Deacon John Ellis; who died April, 27th 1782 in the 73rd year of her Age." Blessed are the Dead, which die in the Lord.^[1]
