Elizabeth Jennings was the daughter of John Jennings and Anne Holway. She was born in 1744 in Tiverton, Rhode Island, the same town her first husband, Daniel Devol was from. They were married and lived in Rhode Island until Daniel's death in 1793.
In 1802 Elizabeth married for a second time to the Reverend John Brown of Massachusetts. His first wife had died in 1801 and he, like Elizabeth, had a large family. They must have consolidated and started a new life in Ohio. They wouldn't have any children of their own and both would pass away in Lowell, Washington County, Ohio. Elizabeth in 1807 and the Reverend in 1821.
