Clarence Eugene Anderson (b. Nov. 4, 1909 in Washburn, Bayfield County, Wisconsin; d. June 10, 1994 in Long Beach, California). Clarence married Emily Hazel Jennings on November 11, 1933, in Virginia, Minnesota. Emily was born Oct. 4, 1913 in Virginia, Minnesota, and died Aug. 14, 1964, in Long Beach, California. Clarence and Emily lived in Long Beach. She was the older sister of Eva Jennings, who married Hugh Anderson (see below). For years Clarence was a carpenter and housing inspector for Los Angeles County. Emily and Eva Jenning’s parents: Francis James Jennings (b. April 23, 1877 in Canborne, Cornwall, England, to a tin-mining family; emigrated to Michigan, 1899, worked in Oscelola Copper Mine, Calumet Michigan; d. Nov. 1, 1946 in Duluth; wife Hazel Jane Coombe (b. July 24, 1885 in Central, Keweenaw County, Michigan; married 1899 in Calumet, Michigan; d. May 22, 1947 in Virginia, Minnesota. Francis and Hazel had eleven children, viz.: (1) Gladys Jane (June 20, 1905 – Dec. 27, 1988 Virginia); (2) William James (Sept. 22, 1907 Virginia – 1941 Virginia); (3) Florence Myrtle (b. Oct. 22, 1910); (4) Francis Gordon (July 7, 1912 Virginia – Oct. 1, 1976 Virginia, m. Elmire Daisy Kilby, b. Aug. 25, 1934 Virginia; (5) Emily Hazel; (6) Eva Gertrude; (7) Bernice Laverne (May 11, 1917 – Sept. 1987 Virginia; (8) Richard (Mar. 24, 1919 – Feb. 9, 1995 Virginia); (9) Walter (May 17, 1920 – Mar. 26, 2001 in Garden Grove, California); (10) Dorothy (Oct. 29, 1921 – 1972 Long Beach); (11) Pearl Ivadell (May 1, 1923 Virginia – May 7, 1950 Eveleth; mother of Carol Ann Sersha. Francis J. Jenning’s parents in Cornwall were William Richard Jennings (Dec. 4, 1845 - ?) and Ann Maria Pope (b. Mar. 3, 1844 in Sithney Parish, d. Apr. 23, 1891 in Crowan, Cornwall). Ann Maria Pope was daughter of William Pope (July 12, 1866 - ?) and Mary (d. Sept. 10, 1885).
