Research Note
The identity of the May S. Jewett, age 15, who was living with Eli and Adeline Jewett at Alstead, New Hampshire, in 1870[6] is unknown. She could have been their daughter; Adeline would have been about 42 at May's birth, still within the childbearing years, but May does not appear with the family in the 1860 Census, when she would have been five years old. No other records have been found of May, and her relationship to Eli and Adeline Jewett remains unknown. (Research Note by WikiTree contributor Stu Bloom, 27 Feb 2022)
