Jesse Jewett served with Worcester County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.
He was a soldier in the Revolution from Bolton. "Jesse Jewet, Private, Capt. Manasseh Sawyer's co.. Col Nicholas Dike's Dike-409 regt; pay abstract for travel allowance, etc.; home, dated Dorchester Heights, Nov. 30, 1776, said Jewet credited with allowance for 2 days (36 miles)."
"Jesse Jewett, Bolton, Private, Capt. Manassah Sawyer's co; Col Dike's regt; pay abstract for milage from home to Dorchester Heights; warrant allowed in Council Sept. 13, 1776; also Capt.
Caleb Brook's co., Col Dike's regt; muster roll for Dec. 1776-Feb. 1777; enlisted Dec. 1, 1776, service guarding stores at and about Boston, regiment raised to serve until March 1, 1777."
