Hi Cynthia,

We have untangled and sorted out this lineage just a while ago, many online genealogies have two different lineages mixed up and we had them tangled up here as well at first, we have looked for and added sources to all of them so you can look at the profiles and posts we added to all of them now, to see the sources and what all was wrong and why...

She for sure wasn't Masion Montaigne 's wife and the parents for Jehan Mousnier were and still are unknown. So to prevent again a lot of mix ups and mistakes I removed her as his wife and as the mother of Jehan ...

She is in fact a duplicate of Angnietje Gillis, so we now have to correct things again to make sure it all is accurate again..

Greets, Bea

Update: All is corrected again. We also added name links to the notes that will take you to the other profiles , many repeated or very similar names and patronymics those days, so it's of course not so strange they sometimes where mixed up :)

The Ten Waert name was not used when they were born, so she should , if there's a baptism record for her , have her LNAB corrected to Jochems as well, just like her brother. Will search for baptism record or transcript .

Yes same here , noticed : Joannes Pietersz van Brug (Ver Brugge) it was presumed they were from Brugge , so already added a link to the first and eldest ancestor Gillis van Brug where I added a part about the last name.

Found a great source and have sorted out and corrected the lineage for the family , so now all is adding up again :) Only the parents of Gillis are from a totally different family so they need, in time, to be removed as parents. But am still looking if maybe these people are related somehow to one of the later van Brug people. So indeed the Huguenot template seems not accurate here, I'll ask someone from the Huguenot project if they can take a look at this :)

I believe that the Huguenot designation probably originally came from the Verbrugge profile.

After all the family shifting, it no longer seems to be accurate. Especially the migrant template, since this was never a French birth family,, but seems to be entirely Dutch.

It appears that she instead merely married a Huguenot much later in life, in New Netherlands.

Jilles-1 and Gillis-807 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest maternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Thanks!

Hi Steven,

the duplicate Angniet Gillis profiles can be merged now, no more conflicts with parents so looks fine now

Ten Waert-1 and Gillis-807 appear to represent the same person because: Hi , removed the postponed merge, they can be merged now , no conflicts , parents fine , no conflicts . Thanks !

Corrected father because : previous Gillis Jansz Van Brugh is a different person and not her father so removed presumed last name van Brugh, ver Brugge (she for sure never used, was born with)

Angniet Gillis is her duplicate , so they should be merged but....LNAB is Gillis aka Jelis. So would like to keep that and get it PPP't . Don't know if the name ten Waert was used in New Netherland, but she was for sure not born with it , see profile (duplicate) Angniet Gillis (aka Jelis) Maybe the grandparents (parents of father) were from the place Weert , Limburg?

It says the place was known (famous) because of the fabrication and export of sheets to Western Europe. Father Gillis is mentioned to be a tailor... maybe that could explain van Waert (Weert) ?

Verbrugge-1 and Jilles-1 appear to represent the same person because: they were in an unmerged match & the New Netherland Settlers Approval System (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:New_Netherland_Settlers_-_Approval_System) now has them marked "Green" (NNS Category) and "Orange" (Merge Pending), indicating that the two are ready to be merged. Thanks!
