Helena Maria Johnson was the daughter of Swedish immigrants Carl Johnson and Anna Johnson who resided in Massachusetts, United States. She was born in Hinneryd parish in Kronobergs län, Sweden on August 31, 1904, while her mother visited family back in Sweden.[1][2]
Helena was married twice.
Her first husband was John Frederick Keast. They were married on August 28, 1942 in Antrim, Hillsborough, New Hampshire.[3]. He passed away in 1957-
She remarried Weldon Eugene (Bing) Crosby.
She passed away on August 5, 2005. She is buried in Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouth Port, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.[4]
Not found in indexed Swedish household records on Arkiv Digital. Curious that her older brother was born in Massachusetts and she was born in Sweden when her parents came to the US in the 1890's according to the 1910 census.
Found her family via her obituary that says her parents were Carl and Anna Johnson and that she had a brother J Alfred Johnson. These are very common names, so the chance of finding the correct persons in Swedish sources were slim. However, via her brother's marriage, draft and birth records, he was found with his parents in Swedish-American church records that showed their birth dates and locations. These indeed match with Swedish records. She is also mentioned in her brother's obituary that confirm the relationships.
