Roland Albert Johnson, 63, of Souderton died Sunday, March 7, in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Carolyn (Webb) Johnson for 44 years.
He was director of Wirtz International for Wirtz Manufacturing, Port Huron, Mich., for 10 years until retiring. Previously, he was plant manager of General Battery Co., Reading, for seven years and worked in several capacities for C&D Batteries, Plymouth Meeting, for 25 years.
Born in New Bedford, Mass., he was a son of the late Albion C. and Lauretta (Gamache) Johnson.
Survivors: Wife; daughters, Cheryl Ann, wife of Donald Schaeffer, and Laurie Lynn, wife of Norman Pitt Jr., both of Gilbertsville; son Scott of Lansdale; sisters, Betty, wife of John Lemmo of Lakeville, Mass., Eleanor, wife of Carl Westgate of Mattapoisett, Mass., and Phyllis, wife of Mike Mikelvitch of Westport, Mass.; brothers, Henry of Hudson, Ohio, Raymond of Seattle, Wash., George in New Jersey and Walter of Haverhill, Mass., and four grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
