Andrew was born in 1695 in Andover, Massachusetts.[1]
Andrew was married to Hannah Chandler on August 21, 1723 in Andover, Massachusetts.[2]
In 1755/6 Andrew Johnson, age 59, from Andover, Massachusetts is listed as a Private in the French and Indian War. His condition is described as "sick and present."[3]
In the expedition that was formed against Crown Point in 1756 he was a soldier in Captain James Fry's Company.
He was taken sick and died at his home in 1757 in Andover, Massachusetts. [4]
He apparently died intestate and a probate record is on file listing his son Jonathan Johnson as his heir. The total value of his estate is about 365 pounds less about 100 pounds in debt. Johnathan seems to have sold off the farm to Obediah Johnson, his neighbor and likely relative, to cover the indebtedness.[5]
Whether this son Jonathan is the same person as John Johnson is not clear, but there are no other children than Jonathan listed in the probate records.
