I've been researching my JOHNSON family for over 15 years now. My Father Turner Greaves Johnson started working on our family tree. When he passed away I took over along with the help of two of my sisters. I have done extensive research. I published a book called " Southern Johnson's and Their Kin". Our Johnson line have been found in two other books. "The Hills of Wilkes County Georgia and Allied Families" by Lodowick Johnson Hill Sr. and also "Agrarian Arcadia" by Charles Danforth Saggus. I am also researching other family connected to my Johnson's and my maternal line as well. I am researching my husbands family also. So I stay pretty busy! My 1st cousin Michael Warren Johnson was kind enough to do a YDNA test for our Johnsons. Our Haplo Group is R1b. My brick wall is Col. William Johnson b. abt 1755 and died in Wilkes Co. GA. in 1821. I haven't been able to find parents or siblings for him. I do have some good leads but nothing that is proven. You can find my extended family tree on Ancestry.com "Southern Johnson's & Allied Families" and I also am a member of Find-A-Grave. The DNA test is listed on FTDNA.com. It's such a blessing to me that I have been lucky enough to meet a lot of distant cousins that I would have never known had I not started doing research on my family. I keep in touch with a lot of them on Facebook now. I love to share my information and hope that it will help others.
