Biography

After David's death Susannah married Benjamin Webb, who reared her son David Jr. to maturity. Benjiman Johnson, David's grandfather, listed him as an heir when the Johnson property was sold to Evan Benbow, March 3, 1803.

Barton, John, bachelor, and Elizabeth Pearcy, spinster, at the plantation

of Benjamin Webb, 9 July 1778; Benjamin Webb, Sarah Hannah Webb witness, St. James Parish.

US census of 1790 for the Camden Dist., Clarendon County of SC lists:

Brunson, Daniel 1 male over 16 and 1 male under 16, 2 females: David, Pecpo: Courtney, Micaijah: Brunson, Mrs. 1 male over 16 , 1 male under 16, 2 female: Webb, John: Hodge, James: Webb, Henry: 8 other listings and then Brunson, Wm. Sr.: 23 listings later Brunson, Wm, Jr. and some 50 listings later Brunson, Wm.

The US census of 1790 for the Charleston Di st., St. Bartholomes Parish has a listing for Webb, Bengem (Estate of) 4 males over 16, 2 males

under 16, 2 females and 125 slaves. This linked to sale of property entered with David notes indicates that Benjiman had died and Susannah had moved to be with Benj.'s children in Claredon county. John Webb would most likely be son Bej. earlier marriage,[JNM1.FTW]
