Doss Johnson (abt. 1845 - abt. 1900)

Biography

The one other story that you should be able to look into in the family is that there was a sister of my grandfather Kanslin whose name was Cordelia Kanslin. She married a man by the name of Doss Johnson and they went into the Midwest area. She did come back to the West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania to visit my mother recalls once and talked about the miles they could view their wheat fields. And my mother thinks that the marriage of Cordelia Kanslin and Doss Johnson yielded either five or seven sons. And the only address I remember in my mind to attempt to locate this line of the family would be Marion, Kansas or Marionville, Kansas but there should be descendants of the marriage of Cordelia Kanslin and Doss Johnson.

notes - I think Nana got the names of Amelia and Cordelia and their spouses confused. On the back of the picture for Amelia her spouse is showing Doss Johnson (this source was verified by Alice Remple, grand daughter of Cordelia and Joshua Johnson.)

It appears sisters Amelia and Cordelia (Cantlin) married brothers Doss and Joshua (Johnson). Still trying to verify this.
