Hi,

Could you look at your profile for Margaret Martin.http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Martin-19064 She married a Richard Martin but she appears to have been born as Margaret Gould/Gold, the daughter of Thomas Gould http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gould-1625 and Edith Appleton. If you agree with the evidence, it would be good if you changed her LNAB (only a profile manager can do that) and link her to her father.

Hi Richard,

We are really happy that you took the Pre-1700 certification Quiz. Thank you for doing your part to make WikiTree an accurate and openly collaborative place for genealogists to share their research.

Do you have some 1700's people in your tree already ? Now that you have the badge, you can take part in one of our historical projects.

If you have any questions, you can contact one of our Mentors or Volunteer Coordinator, Erin .

Have a great day !

Welcome, Richard! How are things going for you now that you've had a chance to look around and add some of your family tree?

When you have a moment, you should come on over and introduce yourself in our forum thread for new members. It's a great way to meet other genealogists and share what you are working on.

Hello !

I just wanted to take a second to welcome you to the WikiTree family and thank you for volunteering! You're now a confirmed member.

If you already have or you are planning to upload a GEDCOM, you might want to check out Before You Import Your GEDCOM.

Keep in mind that our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

If I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to ask :)

Happy hunting!

my name is R T Johnson and am looking forward to being a part of this community and tracing my lineage further on my mother's side, since i know for sure that Benjamin Hawkins who was the first Indian agent in the United States and who was a french translator for George Washington during the revolutionary war is my 5th great grandfather
