Biography

Orville was born on 05 Aug 1910 to parents Johan Adolf Johnson (1882-1977)and Hulda Constanzia Johnson (1886-1922), and baptised at the first Lutheran Church on 9 Oct 1910 in DeKalb County, IL.^[1]

In 1911, Orville (10 months old), had already begun his international travel. He and his father, John A Johnson (29), mother "Hilda" (sic) (i.e. Huilda), and Charles Neo Johnson (1887-1980) (21), who appears to be Hulda's brother (although referred to as John A Johnson's brother), all shown as Americans, were living in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. (Circumstances not known).^[2]

In 1920, Oville was 9 and living on a farm in Clinton, DeKalb County, IL with his parents and brother Oakley Leonard Johnson (1912-1986) (age 7).^[3]

On 19 Oct 1940 Orville married Dorace (Doris?) Dorace Gwendolyn (Gonterman) Johnson (1917-aft.1999) in DeKalb, IL.^[4]

On 9 Aug 1942 a son, Thomas Dale "Tom" Johnson, was born in DeKalb.^[5]

On 05 Aug 1922, when he was 12 years old, his mother died when the family was living in Waterman, DeKalb County, IL.^[6]

On 28 Jan 1977, his father John Adolf Johnson died in Rochelle, Illinois.^[7]

On 02 Jul 1986, his brother, Oakley, died in Los Angeles, CA^[8]

From 1987 to 1955, Orville resided in Rochelle, Ogle, Illinois.^[9]

Orville passed away on 13 Dec 1999 in Rochelle and was later buried at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. ^[10]
