Jesse Johnson was born on May 3, 1797, in Dunstable, Middlesex, Massachusetts, to Silas and Rebeckah Johnson.
"Ruth Sophia Whiting was born in New Hampshire on October 17 1805. She married Captain Jesse Johnson on February 4, 1827, in Dunstable, Middlesex, Massachusetts. They had a son, Jesse F. Johnson, on December 7, 1827. Jesse Johnson, Sr. died in 1832."
