Biography

John was born 20 Jul 1667 in New Haven, CT. He was the son of Wingle Johnson.[1][2]

He married Abigail Sherman, daughter of Daniel Sherman and Abiah Street[2] in 1693.[3]

  • Abigail b 28 Sep 1695, m Thomas Holt
  • John b 13 Nov 1696, m Charity Hill, 2nd Lydia Ford

John passed away in 1744. [3]

Research Note

Records for John's children are in "Connecticut Births and Christenings, 1649-1906", listing them as born in Quinnipiac, New Haven, Connecticut Colony. There are also other children with father John, born in Quinnipiac in the same time period. Jacobus (pages 1030-32) lists them as the children of the John Johnson born 1661, also in Quinnipiac.
